The ONLY TWO REASONS why I use the “Elevation Training Mask”
1) Strengthens the Diaphragm and Accessory Muscles of Respiration
2) Strengthens the Mind by forcing Calmness (forced slow, deep breathing)
* The remarks about Oxygen Deprivation don’t make sense to me because the air outside the mask when it is on is the same air being inhaled as it passes through the valves (oxygen saturation is NOT affected). The basis IS the act of respiration (using the diaphragm, scalenes, traps, serratus anterior, etc). A strong diaphragm means a stronger core, and being able to control breathing mindfully in times of stress is priceless.
