Dr. Tony Peters

Dr. Tony Peters was born in Mexico City and migrated to New Orleans with his family as a child.  A skydiving accident in his 20’s left his arm with constant numbness and pain for two years. Tired of self-medicating with pain relievers and alcohol, he took his father’s advice and went to the Chiropractor. A few weeks of treatment brought much needed relief. Dr Peters continued to go on a maintenance program and began to free himself of daily asthma/allergy medication and monthly shots. After this life-changing experience with Chiropractic care, he went on to earn his Interdisciplinary Bachelors Degree in Gerontology and Sociology from the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida and a Doctor of Chiropractic Degree (Four year Degree) from Life University in Marietta, Georgia in 2000. He has maintained a successful practice in Charlotte since 2001.

“I love working with people that understand the concept of ‘health span’ versus ‘life span’.  Life isn’t just about how long you can live, but more about HOW you want to live and doing it”. – Dr. Tony Peters, D.C.

Dr Tony Peters’ passion for the healing physical arts has guided him to not only become proficient in chiropractic manual adjusting but to also become skilled in manual therapies that address muscle, fascial connective tissue, and soft tissue.  He has generous time studying the role of fascia as it relates to the daily problems faced in practice.

“I see myself more of a bodyworker that also happens to be a Chiropractor.  I’m a manual therapist at heart, and a Doctor of Chiropractic by training.” – Dr Tony

Dr. Tony enjoys time with his partner and office guru, Heidi, their dog, Pancake, his boys and he also enjoys paddleboarding, being outdoors, live music, good food, and reading research about bodywork (closet nerd).

“My hope is that our unique approach provides each client with long lasting and effective results.  Our goal is to provide real positive change in our clients and to provide them with the tools they need to help themselves for a lifetime.” – Dr. Tony Peters, D.C.
